A Glass of Milk, Paid in Full

One day a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door in order to pay his way through school, As he was going through streets from door to door he founded that he had only one thin dime left and he was hungry.

He decides he would ask for a meal at next house, however he lost his nerve when he found a lovely young women at the door of a house, Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water, she thought he looked hungry so she brought him a large glass of milk.

He drank it slowely and then asked, how much i owe you ?

She replied, you don't owe me anything, mother has taught us never to accept any pay for a kindness.

He said, then i thank you from my heart.

As this young boy left that house he was not only feeling stronger physically, but his faith in God and man became stronger as well, as he had been ready to give up and quit.

Many Years later, once that very women became critically ill, She was admitted but the local doctors were baffled, they finally sent her to the big city where they called in specialist to study her rare desease.

That young boy who once sell goods door to door in streets was now Dr. Howard Kelly, Who was asked for consultation of the case of this women, when he learned the name of the town she came from a strange light filled his eyes, immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room, dressed in his doctor gown he went to see her, he recognized her at once, he was wondered.

He went back to his consultation room determined to do his best to save her life, from that day he worked hard gave special attention to the case.

After a long struggle the battle was won, the patient was successfully saved, Now Dr Howard Kelly requested the office to pass the final bill to him for approval, He looked at it and then wrote something at the corner edge of it and the bill was sent to her room.

She feared to open it, for she was sure that it would take rest of her life to pay for it all, finally she looked and something caught his attention on the corner of the bill, 

She began to read the following words...

"Paid in full with one glass of milk" - Dr. Howard Kelly.

Conclusion:

Kindness never goes in vain, it is never wasted, it comes back to you in unexpected ways. So, be kind to everyone arround.
